Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Applied Physics and Engineering
This fellowship is designed to offer a small number of post-doctoral research positions in the field of applied physics and engineering at CERN.

* Computing.
Candidates will work in the Accelerators and Technologies Sector (ATS) departments on the design, development, deployment, and operation of particle accelerators.
Qualifications
To qualify for this programme, you must meet the following requirements:
* You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State. A limited number of positions are also available to candidates from Non-Member States.
* Your PhD is in the fields of applied physics and engineering.
* You have completed your PhD, or your PhD defence is already scheduled, and you expect to complete at most 6 months after the closing date for application to this position.
* You should have a maximum of 3 years of research experience after the PhD, measured up to the closing date for application to this position.

In return for your expertise and commitment, CERN offers:
* An employment contract for in principle 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months.
* A stipend of 6,911 Swiss francs per month (net of tax).
* Coverage by CERN's comprehensive health scheme (for yourself, your spouse and children), and membership of the CERN Pension Fund.
* Depending on your individual circumstances: an installation grant, family, child and infant allowances as well as travel expenses to and from Geneva.
* 2.5 days of paid leave per month.
