Our systems must support:
* 500,000 transactions/month
* 250 requests/minute
We develop payment products that help our merchants and partners to grow and scale their business. At the same time, MF Group provides consumers with easy and flexible financial services they can rely on.
We are looking for a Data Engineer.
Join our team at our location in Mendrisio.
As a Data Engineer, you will work cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers to optimize product performance and growth.
In particular, you will:
* Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to understand product features and represent key data appropriately.
* Develop strategies for collecting product data effectively and define the necessary infrastructure to collect and expose product KPIs.
* Gather, analyze, and interpret product usage data to identify improvement opportunities.
* Create and manage dashboards and reports to monitor product performance.
We are looking for:
* A Bachelor or Master degree with a focus in IT or a data-related field.
* Proven experience in the role of data analyst or similar roles.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools such as R, SQL, etc., and a programming language (e.g., Python).
* Strong knowledge of data engineering concepts (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, ETL, Data Modeling, Observability).
* Skills in report and dashboard creation using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
* Proficiency in English.
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of German and/or Italian.
* Experience in an observability stack.
* Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
* Knowledge of the financial domain or other highly regulated domains.
* Knowledge of data privacy requirements.
