In our Immunology Division, we are responsible for medicines that help to improve the health and quality of life of patients with IBD. With an increasing gastroenterology portfolio, we are looking for a dedicated Medical Advisor to join the Medical Affairs (MAF) Team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Scientific expert (internally and externally) for the therapeutic area (TA) including treatment trends, unmet medical needs, scientific insights and clinical studies to enhance company product value through high quality scientific knowledge management.
* Close collaboration with key Leading Specialists to identify customer needs and based on that tailoring MAF activities such as round tables, ad boards, medical education activities or related medical projects (20% of working time is spend in interactions with Leading Specialists).
* Planning, coordination and implementation of the MAF Plan incl. budget monitoring
* Member of the cross-functional value team (CVT) and the local action team (LAT); provides medical expertise, disease area & home country market insights and by leads medical programs
* Full compliance with J&J Credo and HCBI principles to preserve trust and reputation towards HCP and patients using the products
* Develop and implement pre-launch medical strategies
* Design and facilitate educational programs and presentations to internal teams and external stakeholders, focusing on the clinical data and value propositions of upcoming products.
* Develop and review promotional and educational materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
* Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical or Natural Science University degree (with MD/Ph D being an additional asset)
* Deep understanding of clinical gastroenterology; scientific research, clinical trial design/conduct and interpretation of medical/scientific data, and ability to translate this into information to inform strategy as well as into designing medical affairs activities
* Minimum 2-4 years’ relevant work experience
* Proficiency in English and German or French required
* High level of critical and strategic thinking: Translating latest science and developments in the local health care environment into MAF strategy and tactics.
* Strong communication skills and, ability to discuss scientific data with HCP’s on a peer-to-peer level
* Ability to connect and build professional working relationships
* Strong collaborative skills and team player mindset, (e.g. cross-functional team collaboration, cross-border collaboration, etc.)
