Job Description
The Program Manager will oversee the development and management of cross-disciplinary and cross-functional innovation teams and projects within a designated area of Research and Development (R&D).
This role involves creating critical project timelines, milestones, and success criteria with the project lead, as well as managing these activities, monitoring budget expenditures, risks, and issues, delivering outputs, reporting, and escalating any deviations from the plan.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Project Leads to develop and manage project scope, budgets, and deliverables, while understanding potential risks.
* Maintain accurate, up-to-date project information and status through regular team meetings, which the Program Manager chairs.
* Prioritize and manage multiple work packages with overlapping deadlines.
* Support and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams; keep team members accountable for delivering results and informed about related projects.
* Conduct Team Meetings both internally and externally, as well as with cross-functional stakeholders, to ensure work aligns with the Project Plan.
* Work with Project leads and senior management to secure necessary resources and capacity commitments, as well as obtain buy-in from all relevant stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology is required; a Ph.D. in Biotechnology is preferred.
* Previous experience in Project/Program Management – ideally in the pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) industry.
* Proven knowledge of technical, commercial, and organizational factors affecting project strategy and planning.
* Able to analyze and solve complex problems without routine solutions.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential.
* Fluency in English is mandatory.
