Your main duties as a Testing Engineer will include :
Performing mechanical and functional testing under supervision to assess functional requirements of implants and instruments.
Providing testing to support design characterization, verification, risk assessment and supplier changes of orthopaedic implants and instrumentation. This includes communication with multiple disciplines, knowledge of mechanical testing apparatus / methodology, and data reporting.
Executing mechanical testing to assess functional requirements of implants and instruments, including fatigue, endurance, static testing, tensile testing, corrosion testing, and load to failure.
Preparing test specimens and conducting laboratory experiments per provided protocols (Instron, MTS).
Additional duties will include :
Analyzing data and performing statistical analysis.
Writing reports and documenting test results and procedures, including the maintenance of laboratory records.
Ensuring adherence to all company safety policies and procedures and other safety precautions within the work area.
Clearly and professionally communicating test findings, technical challenges, and proposed resolutions.
Minimum Requirements:
1-2 years of experience with Mechanical testing (fatigue, endurance etc.).
Technical Degree, ideally in Biomechanical engineering or similar.
Ability to perform duties per policies and procedures.
Proficiency in data entry on spreadsheet and database applications.
Medical devices or regulated industries background.
Familiarity with material manufacturing processes; material mechanical, physical, and chemical testing; and material characterization is preferred.
Language Requirements :
German and English ability – C1 / 2 written and verbal.
