DUTIES:
The purpose of the position is to manage a complex IT network operation that includes responsibility for overseeing the installation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of network components. This position is also responsible for providing support for technology issues and occasional end user support, as well as providing support for off-hours change windows and participate in on-call responsibilities.
Effectively resolves problems in a timely manner demonstrating excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Works independently, leads Network Projects, and collaborates with team members.
Uses superior communication skills (email, phone, and in-person) both verbal and written.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field; or a high school diploma/GED and six years of appropriate related experience.
Strong experience architecting, configuring, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting distributed Windows servers and workstations, network switches, wireless access points/controllers, firewalls, VPN, VoIP, and unified communications.
Experience implementing, migrating, managing, and operating systems/applications in an enterprise cloud computing environment.
Experience with managing Active Directory, MS Exchange administration, backup/recovery, security, video conferencing, network troubleshooting, terminal server, and IP video.
Experience writing technical documentation, especially in relation to Cloud architecture.
Experience in implementation and administration of VMware ESXi 4.x/5.x/6.x and VMware vCenter server 4.x/5.x/6.x.
Availability to travel on an occasional basis.
PREFERRED (in addition to the minimum):
Expertise in server and storage implementation and configuration.
Strong knowledge of virtualization and cloud computing concepts.
Active Microsoft MCSE and/or CCNA, CCNP certification or equivalent.
Project management experience and familiarity with various SDLC disciplines. Two years of relevant experience with Microsoft Azure.
