Your role and responsibilities
As the Global Media and Social Media Specialist, you will be part of the ELDS Communications team reporting to the Thought Leadership Manager. You will be a collaborative player engaging with the ELDS global comms team and the countries to elevate content relating to the division via media and social media channels.
Your role includes:
1. Creating and managing a high volume of compelling content, including visuals, articles, whitepapers, blog posts, video scripts, messaging documents, social media updates, and more.
2. Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, to strategize and edit social media content.
3. Identifying and leveraging opportunities for content repurposing and amplification across relevant channels, especially social media.
4. Utilizing your deep understanding of social media tools and trends to create, curate, and manage social media content to ensure a consistent, cohesive narrative, style, and presence.
5. Continuously monitoring, analyzing, and reporting the impact of activities, making data-driven decisions to enhance visibility and engagement on relevant channels.
You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Global Media and Social Content Calendar: Develop and manage a global content calendar that aligns with global and local activities, key industry events, and product launches, ensuring cohesive media engagement across markets.
2. Message Consistency: Ensure messaging aligns with the global ELDS messages and supports company objectives, coordinating closely with local teams to adapt content for local audiences.
3. Channel Oversight: Manage and monitor global social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), ensuring timely content delivery and engaging with audiences.
4. Content Adaptation: Collaborate with local teams to adapt content that resonates with local markets while keeping consistent brand messaging.
5. Analytics and Insights: Track and analyze global media and social media performance, providing regular reports and actionable insights to improve engagement and reach.
6. KPIs and ROI: Define KPIs aligned with business goals (e.g., brand mentions, engagement rates, share of voice) and report on ROI for campaigns, highlighting successful strategies and areas for improvement.
7. Creative Development: Work with external agencies to develop creatives to promote key messages on social media and work with markets to share these resources and help adjust.
Qualifications For The Role
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
2. Proven significant experience within communications, with a strong emphasis on storytelling, writing, and social media within corporate, media, or agency settings.
3. Highly proficient English language capability is essential.
4. Proven ability to produce a high volume of engaging content across multiple formats, consistently aligned with business goals.
5. Extensive hands-on experience with social media strategies, tools, and platforms, with a keen eye on the latest trends and developments to enhance online influence.
6. Excellent organizational skills to plan and execute activities, considering deadlines and priorities. Ability to quickly assimilate complex information and take necessary actions.
7. High attention to detail in creating, editing, proofreading, and tailoring content.
8. Experience working in cross-functional teams. Experience working within international B2B environments is a plus.
9. The work model for the role is: hybrid.
