NOUMENA DIGITAL AG is a deep technology scale-up of highly skilled engineers and domain experts based in Baar, Zug, Switzerland. We have operated for over six years and have large-scale enterprise systems in production for over four years.
The role
We are looking for a new colleague, a Business Developer and Sales Engineer, to report to the Head of NOUMENA Solutions.
As a business developer and sales engineer, you sell our clients demanding technological solutions and services. You have in-depth knowledge of the technology’s features and capabilities, the solutions’ parts and functions, and how to map those to the client’s business domains and problem spaces.
Responsibilities of this role
* Identify and evaluate business opportunities in ‘whitespace’ – feed sales funnel and deal pipeline.
* Observe markets, trends, needs, and strategies in the target industries
* Approach clients and prospects in Switzerland and Liechtenstein
* Map NOUMENA’s technology and software engineering capabilities to clients’ problem spaces and IT strategies
* Start discussions and interactions with target clients, identifying opportunities and creating leads
* Coordinate with relevant stakeholders and team-mates to launch and conduct Proof-of-Concepts
* Compile and present proposals to potential and existing clients
* Make and sign deals
* Build and maintain long-term trusted client relationships
* Create sales material, teasers, factsheets, flyers
Qualifications for this role:
* Strong academic foundation. A BSc/MSc in computer science/business informatics (or related fields) is preferred
* 5+years of experience in client-facing roles as a software engineer, tech lead, business analyst/requirements engineer
* Affinity for problem-solving and applying software solutions to create added-value
* Open-minded and curious about the challenges of business domains and industries
* Valid and proven network in the relevant industry
* Editorial skills – business proposal and offer compilation in German and English
* Presentation and negotiation skills – pitching and deal closing
