As an Industrialization Chemist & Laboratory Manager (m/w/d), you will be part of our Fragrance Ingredients Industrialization Department.
Directly reporting to our Head of Fragrance Ingredients Industrialization, your main responsibilities will be the following:
* Develop safe, sustainable and competitive manufacturing processes in the laboratory followed by scale up through Pilot plant to Production.
* Propose, study, and implement green chemistry technologies (catalysis, enzymatic reactions, flow chemistry, energy efficient processes) at laboratory, pilot and industrial scale.
* Provide support for production teams during the introduction of processes in manufacturing plants.
* Use digital methods for data-driven Industrialization (Process Analytical Technologies, Simulations, Design of Experiments and Data Mining).
* Manage industrialization projects with the collaboration of internal (Manufacturing, Research, Purchasing/Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, Quality) and external partners.
* Build relationships with all partners.
* Mentor laboratory technicians to foster a productive work environment while promoting the highest standards of laboratory EHS.
* Write comprehensive project reports including formal procedures for laboratory and pilot processes.
Your success profile includes:
* PhD in Chemistry, EPFL, ETHZ or similar
* Experimental and theoretical expertise in organic chemistry
* Sound expertise in industrial organic chemistry
* Experience in chemical reaction engineering desired
* Several years of experience in an industrial environment
* Project Management experience
* Fluency in French and English
* Experimental creativity, and open to innovation
