We seek a highly motivated and experienced Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and commissioning of industrial automation systems for clients in the chemistry and energy materials sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the complete management of electrical and automation/programming projects.
2. Manage project budgets and ensure adherence to deadlines.
3. Design and implement automation networks for efficient control of installations.
4. Identify, document, and manage all electrical signals required for system operation.
5. Participate in HAZOP project risk analysis.
6. Size electrical cabinets, develop and maintain technical documentation, and program PLCs, HMIs, and DCS automation systems.
7. Manage the procurement, manufacturing, and delivery of project materials.
8. Conduct thorough system testing and commissioning, ensuring final customer acceptance.
9. Provide comprehensive customer training and ongoing technical support.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
2. CFC in automation or poly-mechanics is a plus.
3. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in project management, maintenance, and troubleshooting within an industrial environment (chemical industry experience preferred).
4. Strong knowledge of industrial automation techniques and technologies.
5. Proficiency in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and programming software (Siemens TIA Portal, SIMATIC PCS7, S7, WINCC).
6. Expertise in reading electrical diagrams and utilizing EPLAN or similar software.
7. In-depth understanding of relevant electrical and safety standards (ATEX, ISA, IEC, NEMA, etc.).
8. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in IT networks.
9. Meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
11. Fluency in French and English (B2/C1 level).
12. Swiss nationality, valid work permit, or EU/EFTA citizenship with eligibility for a B permit.
13. Willingness to travel for business trips (up to 30%) within Switzerland, Europe, and internationally.
