About the Role
As Business Unit Digital & IT Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing information systems and services that support the Parker Meggitt Business Unit in Fribourg. You will work on creating Business Unit IT plans aligned with management expectations and needs, incorporating enterprise systems solutions, and aligning with Corporate & Division IT directions and goals.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead the Fribourg IT organization and maintain alignment with business strategy as a member of the Site Management Team.
* Establish proper annual IT plans, including KPIs, budget plan, forecast, and Team Improvement Board.
* Manage staff recruitment, performance, development, talent, and training processes to ensure the team's competencies and capabilities align with business needs.
* Provide active support and consulting services to all functional areas regarding software selection, database, and software application training.
* Partner with Business Unit leaders to assess software opportunities and work with the Division and Corporate Enterprise Systems teams to source technology from Parker's IT Portfolio and implement it to support the business.
* Responsible for justifying, configuring, distributing, and maintaining all hardware related to information technology systems using corporate standards and long-term supplier relationships.
* Direct the implementation and maintenance of systems and services providing essential business functions.
* Review and maintain compliance of systems to established standards to ensure future flexibility and maintainability.
Your Profile
* You should have a University Degree (Master preferably) in Information Systems or a related field.
* At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 or more years in a leadership role.
* Previous experience in Project Portfolio Management, Hardware & Software Management, and Business & Systems is ideal, particularly in an engineering & manufacturing environment.
* Fluency in both French and English is required.
* You should be highly analytical and structured, with a good level of conceptual thinking.
* Strong business acumen and functional understanding of business processes found in an engineering/manufacturing environment are necessary.
* Excellent communication skills are required to interact at all levels of the organization.
The position is based in Fribourg, Switzerland, with occasional travel to other Division sites in Europe (5%).
