About Us
Schwihag AG is a global company specializing in railway infrastructure with strategic growth projects in India and other markets in South and Southeast Asia. To optimize our production and supply chain processes sustainably and ensure the development of future production sites, we are looking for a highly skilled Supply Chain Operations Engineer with international experience.
Your Responsibilities
Process and Production Engineering
* Develop and optimize production processes for existing and future manufacturing sites, particularly in India.
* Plan and implement technical aspects of the future production site in India, including production layout, process planning, and quality control.
* Introduce and implement best practices to improve production efficiency and ensure compliance with technical standards.
* Analyze and continuously improve current production processes to reduce costs and improve productivity.
Supply Chain Management
* Responsibility for building, maintaining, and optimizing supply chain structures between India, Switzerland, and the EU.
* Develop and implement strategic supply chain concepts using Leans Six sigma methods to ensure stable deliveries and timely supply to production sites.
* Collaborate with Asian & Indian suppliers and production partners to build long-term relationships and ensure high-quality deliveries.
* Monitor and control the flow of materials and goods to optimize production and delivery times by using the knowledge of Indian custom protocols.
* Report to senior management and support strategic decision-making for global expansion.
Your Profile
* Education: A degree in Engineering with a master’s in supply chain management.
* Experience: Several years of experience in process and production optimization and international supply chain management in the railway infrastructure sector or a related field, with focus on Aisa & India Market. Proven experience in Six sigma (Green/Black belt) and a Project Management Certificate (CAPM /PMP) will be a plus.
* Market knowledge: Strong understanding of the Indian market, including experience with local production partners, cultural requirements, and supply chain structures, Indian Export / Indian Export/Import regulations
* Technical expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of relevant production processes, quality assurance, and logistics, supply development & Project Management.
* Languages: Fluent in multiple Indian regional languages and good English skills (German is a plus).
* Intercultural competence: Understanding of the working culture in Switzerland, Europe, and India with the necessary own experience, and the ability to successfully coordinate teams across locations.
