About the Job
Alpiq is seeking a Business Developer Hydrogen to support the company's growth in Spain by identifying and developing green hydrogen production projects, as well as commercial activities and partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Development: Analyze opportunities, build business plans, find partners, secure funding from public support schemes, structure commercial aspects, manage contractual aspects, and contribute to internal investment requests.
* Stakeholder Management: Work with local authorities, clients, partners, and suppliers to manage project stakeholders.
* Project Coordination: Coordinate with the team responsible for hydrogen project technical aspects.
* Reporting: Report project progress internally.
* Business Development: Develop a network to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
* Mergers and Acquisitions: Analyze M&A opportunities.
* Market Expansion: Analyze opportunities to enter new geographies.
* Regulatory Affairs: Monitor regulatory developments and perform market intelligence.
* Public Outreach: Promote Alpiq's hydrogen activities and projects in public forums.
Requirements
* Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields from a leading school.
* Postgraduate Education: Ideally, postgraduate formation in business administration or finance.
* Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in the energy sector in a business development/strategy/consulting role.
* Skills: Solid finance and business development skills, keen eye for opportunities, good intuition, and ability to create and demonstrate value.
* Network: Understanding of the energy sector and a network in the industry.
* Languages: Spanish and English: full professional proficiency level.
* Travel: Willingness to travel frequently.
