This position is responsible for managing capital engineering projects with emphasis on Oral Solid Dosage Manufacturing Facilities, Utilities, Infrastructures, and Laboratories.
* Responsible for total project delivery from concept to validation and startup process.
* Lead the definition of capital project scope and objectives, in alignment with business strategy and stakeholder needs.
* Lead project teams, ensuring collaboration by engaging Facilities as well as clients and stakeholders.
* Lead the scheduling, planning, control, and effective coordination of all the parallel activities related to each project and maintain project schedule through minimal unanticipated schedule challenges.
* Achieve a cost-effective, functional outcome with the use of design guidelines and standards, value engineering, life cycle costing, and engineering best practices.
* Oversee compliance with safety, regulatory, and legal requirements.
* Maintain financial control through budgeting, risk management, and project closeout.
* Deliver fully commissioned, qualified projects that meet stakeholder expectations.
* Provide technical guidance, ensuring adherence to company standards and technology viability.
* Manage external contractors and oversee equipment installation, FAT, and SAT.
* Foster a strong Health & Safety culture within the organization.
Your profile
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
* 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or related industries.
* Expertise in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Process Safety Management (PSM), and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR).
* Familiar with the Stage Gate Process and financial management of capital projects.
* Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams and strong stakeholder management.
* Strong interpersonal skills to interface and influence all levels of management.
* Experience in technical transfer of technology and concepts.
* Project Management experience in design, construction, qualification, and start-up in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
* Hands-on experience with contract negotiation and management.
* Fluent in English; French is a plus. Excellent written and communication skills.
