We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as the Head of Quality Engineering Practice, responsible for defining and implementing our quality engineering strategy, leading the transformation of our quality practices, and uplifting the capability and skills of our organisation.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive quality engineering strategy that aligns with the strategic direction of digitisation, agility and automation.
2. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality engineers ensuring the practice contains the right capabilities and experience and enable continuous learning towards up-to-date skills particularly enabling Test Automation, shift-left quality and DevSecOps principles and practices.
3. Assess current landscape of tools as well as best practice industry tools and propose and implement the right tools and technologies that enhance quality and efficiency in the development process and works together with the wider group technology.
4. Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to define quality standards and acceptance criteria and ensure we elevate standards and capabilities across the business including testable stories and unit testing.
5. Continuously improve the operating model on how the practice delivers optimising proximity to customer, efficiency and platform foundations.
6. Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and methodologies for quality engineering across the business including test automation, performance testing, and security testing.
7. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity, experimentation and continuous improvement.
8. Accountable for ensuring all tasks and deliverables adhere to existing technical/quality standards and best practices, including availability, recoverability, obsolescence, cyber security, access management, change control and segregation of duties.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with active demonstration of ensuring skills and capabilities are kept up to date.
* Multiple years in quality engineering leadership roles, including people leadership, program delivery and practice management.
* A proven track record of success in execution of large transformations including test automation and DevSecOps deployment.
* Proficiency in test automation frameworks and performance testing tools.
* Experience in contract and vendor negotiation.
* In-depth knowledge of methodologies and practices e.g., Agile, DevSecOps.
* Strong financial planning/tracking/forecasting skills.
* Strong planning and implementation skills.
* Proven repeatable record in project/technology delivery.
