About the Position
In the Nanodiffraction Group, we are seeking a talented PhD student to contribute to our research.
Your Responsibilities
* You will participate in the development of a novel imaging technique, low-energy electron holography, for high-resolution imaging of 2D crystals and nanocrystalline samples.
* You will design and construct a coherent low-energy electron microscope.
* Sample preparation and recording of holograms are also essential tasks.
* Numerical reconstruction of sample structures requires attention to detail and expertise.
* You will present results at conferences and write scientific papers.
Qualifications
* A Master's degree in physics or engineering is required.
* Strong knowledge of solid-state physics, coherent optics, and theoretical physics is necessary.
* Experience in experimental physics is expected.
* Programming skills in Matlab and Python, as well as experience in electron microscopy and light optical imaging, are desirable.
