Job Description
Sonova's R&D people leaders play a crucial role in guiding individuals and teams to success. They collaborate with technical managers to ensure the optimal functioning of development teams, remove impediments, and foster a collaborative and psychologically safe work environment.
In this role, you will lead a diverse group of professionals, including software and hardware developers, architects, and project leaders. You will support them in all people-related matters, including their growth and collaboration with stakeholders.
You don't need a technical background, but you are expected to develop a high-level understanding of their work over time.
Your Tasks:
* Provide line management for your employees, including performance management, training, and recruitment.
* Develop talent through coaching and mentoring, manage conflicts effectively.
* Contribute to the organizational development of R&D and continuous improvement of existing processes.
* Guide teams and individuals through change processes, facilitate knowledge sharing.
* Embody and strengthen company culture and values, foster employee engagement.
* Manage the supply of both soft and technical skills to our development teams.
Your Profile:
* University degree, preferably in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Strong leadership skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to address interpersonal matters.
* Excellent communication and networking skills, with the ability to advocate for oneself.
* A positive, proactive, and can-do attitude.
* Fluency in English, both spoken and written. German language skills are a plus.
