POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Senior Sales Manager - International, you will be instrumental in expanding the client’'s global market presence, focusing on fiber optics and sensors. You will be responsible for driving sales, nurturing client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include understanding client needs, developing tailored solutions, and articulating the value proposition of products and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and implement sales strategies to penetrate international markets, particularly in Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
2. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including government entities, defense organizations, and industrial sectors.
3. Identify new business opportunities and initiatives for lead generation to expand the customer base.
4. Collaborate with the R&D team to remain informed about the latest technological advancements.
5. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our offerings and network with potential clients.
6. Manage a portfolio of key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
7. Provide market insights and feedback to guide product development and strategic planning.
8. Lead and develop the sales team, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
9. Travel extensively (around 50%) to engage with clients, attend meetings, and explore new business opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
10. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
11. Demonstrated success in B2B sales, ideally within the fiber optics or telecommunications industry.
12. Deep understanding of fiber optics, sensors, and connectivity solutions.
13. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, fluent in English and German.
14. Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, meeting ambitious sales targets.
15. Strategic and customer-centric mindset with a drive for business growth.
16. Preparedness to travel extensively and build relationships across various regions.
