We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and lead complex aerospace / space projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale projects, ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. You should be enthusiastic about highly specialized technology and appreciate contact with international customers.
Tasks
* Accountable for overall project leading and coordination of activities
* Responsibility and accountability for budget and schedule, within project scope
* Manage cross-functional teams and resources to foster collaborative and highly-performance team environment
* Responsible for planning, execution, monitoring/control and closure of activities
* Management of customer relationship, acting as main point of contact
* Ensure implementation of best project management practices, satisfying project quality and standard requirements
* Interface between customer, suppliers, and internal operations
* Negotiate with customers and suppliers, as needed, during the whole project phase
* Management of large offer elaboration, from initial contact to proposal release
Requirements
* Technical master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electronic engineering, or a related field
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and complex projects
* At least 5 years of experience in the international space industry (commercial or institutional)
* Knowledge of aerospace and space industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
* Ability to work in a dynamic environment
* Customer and solution oriented
* Enjoy challenges and like to go the extra mile
* Very good knowledge of English (oral and written). German or French is a plus
