GROUP LEADER – SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
My client, operating in the aviation industry, is looking for a:
Role: Group Leader - Systems Engineering
Location: Basel, Switzerland
Contract: Permanent
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
* As a part of the Systems Engineering team, you lead a group of professional engineers.
* Design system modifications with a focus on Environmental Control System (ECS), Supplemental Heating, Air Cleaning, Equipment Cooling, Cabin Humidification, Soundproofing, Oxygen, Smoke-Detection, and Water/Waste including associated modifications on aircraft internal and external primary and secondary structure and interior furnishing.
* You ensure correct consideration and application of Certification Basis, Rules and Regulations, Means of Compliance, and Interpretations in the engineering output for the product, system, or installation designed.
* Ensure adequate communication and liaison internally, especially with the Engineering Team as well as with external Third Parties.
* You report to the Manager Mechanical Design Engineering - Systems.
* You support the Manager Mechanical Design Engineering - Systems in administrative and organizational tasks.
KEY ASPECTS OF THE ACTIVITY
* Coordinate the daily engineering activities within your group.
* Support the Manager with workload planning and specific target dates.
* Check man-hours and material budgets of ongoing projects.
* Preparation and checking of technical documentation such as reports, analysis, test procedures, and installation instructions.
* Development of Mechanical Drawings (2D/3D-CAD).
* Selection of equipment, components, and materials.
* Preparation of engineering design standards.
* Additional tasks assigned by the Engineering Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or relevant field.
* Minimum three years job experience in a leading position.
* Profound knowledge of fundamental physics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, aerospace technology, and materials; basic knowledge of acoustics is advantageous.
* Proficiency in MS Office and popular 2D/3D design software (AutoCAD, CATIA, Solidworks).
