Job Description
The Electro-Mechanical Engineer position will serve as the primary technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on engineering projects and electro-mechanical systems, supporting the successful development, implementation, and sustainment of new systems and products. The position also supports modifications and revisions to current systems and products. Performs engineering design and analysis tasks with standard techniques. The Electro-Mechanical Engineer position offers a variety of engineering opportunities, including testing, design, analysis, 3D modeling, 2D drafting, and prototyping.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Set up and conduct tests to determine the performance of ECUs, CBRN protection equipment, heaters, and other systems.
Record, analyze, interpret, and communicate test data to improve or troubleshoot system design.
Review, stay current with, and ensure regulatory standards are met.
Interpret specific system and product design requirements which ensure conformance to functional, customer, and operations/manufacturing criteria.
Provide engineering program/project technical support to both internal and external customers.
Design various mechanical, electrical, and electronic components and assemblies.
Update 2D and 3D models based on redlines and company standards.
Create/edit models and drawings using 3D and 2D design software.
Use Product Data Management (PDM) software to comply with company revision control practices and ISO processes.
Create/edit BOMs using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Implement design for manufacture and assembly.
Follow standard project management practices.
Proactively identify and mitigate risk.
Receive and follow directions and implement tools expected by leadership.
Work professionally with teammates and colleagues.
Interface onsite with all facility associates, management, and staff.
Interface externally with customers and suppliers to furnish, obtain or clarify information.
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the company mission, values, and culture.
Required Experience
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Engineering Technology degree in electromechanical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar field. Advanced degrees or certifications are considered a plus.
5 years of overall engineering experience.
3-5 years of experience with military and defense applications.
Knowledge of MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464.
Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
Possesses effective oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees, and managers at all levels of the company.
Routinely punctual.
Ability to problem solve with little information.
Ability to work autonomously, prioritize work assignments, and multi-task to meet deadlines.
Ability to offer opinions and commentaries while being flexible and responsive to constructive feedback by managers and peers.
Possesses quality and high attention to detail.
Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks).
Professional use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) / PDM software (SolidWorks EPDM).
Experience with Bill Of Material (BOM) creation and editing.
ERP software proficiency (SAP).
Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Experience working with engineering project management tools.
Detailed knowledge of the design and development of electronic boards.
Experience in high-level programming.
