POSITION SUMMARY
Provide leadership and management in the planning, development, and execution of commercial supply chain activities for International markets. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership ability, end-to-end commercial supply chain expertise, be able to work independently and enjoy working in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment during a period of significant growth.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develop and execute long-term strategies for Supply Operations in International Region (EU and Partner markets) to ensure agile and flexible commercial supply.
* Own the planning process to ensure execution to the sales forecast, communicating internally and to CMOs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate supply chain operations with other business units, including finance, regulatory, quality, and commercial operations.
* Business Lead for drug product serialization for all Mirum’s products supplied internationally; partner with serialization consultant (Excellis) and Tracelink to ensure serialization readiness for all launches and adherence to Europe FMD requirements.
* Establish and oversee trade compliance for commercial product distribution for full compliance with all local and international requirements and regulations.
* Selection and implementation of distribution network/3PL for all product distribution.
* Partner with direct supervisor to develop business continuity models to mitigate the end-to-end supply chain for Mirum’s products across International Region.
* Manage POs, Change Orders, and spend for Mirum’s 3rd party logistics providers, and associated supply chain suppliers.
* Develop processes and systems, drafting corresponding SOPs for Supply Chain function.
* Partner with the Global Supply Chain BPO to draft and formalize commercial SOPs (incorporate International scope within SOPs) for inventory management, distribution, product counterfeiting, and recalls. Includes training to cross-functional partners.
* Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain effectiveness.
* Establish clear expectations for the organization, set priorities, focus resources, and delegate effectively.
* Closely monitor progress and proactively address issues and obstacles.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
* A./B.S. preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical operations and supplier management functions.
* Must have previous experience with pharmaceutical, commercial supply operations, preferable in a supply company.
* Successful vendor management experience.
* Experience in a biotech or biopharma environment.
* Proven understanding of global pharmaceutical distribution requirements.
* Proven experience of global pharmaceutical regulatory/registration requirements.
* Experience establishing pharmaceutical supply chain systems and networks is essential.
* Experience with cold chain would be beneficial.
