Assistant Accountant – German & English

Our client, a Swiss Pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced accountant to support their finance department.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure precise financial reporting and adherence to accounting standards and regulations, enhancing the efficiency of the finance function.
Your Tasks:
1. Manage Accounts Payable.
2. Process supplier invoices accurately and verify against contracts.
3. Handle invoice approvals, ensure VAT compliance, and manage timely payments.
4. Maintain supplier communications, reconcile statements, and record transactions.
5. Oversee Accounts Receivable.
6. Generate and issue invoices promptly.
7. Monitor and manage customer payments, handle inquiries, and reconcile accounts.
8. Manage the dunning process as needed to ensure timely collections.
9. Assist in financial reporting, audit preparation, and financial analysis.
10. Record and reconcile cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
11. Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
12. Record and track fixed assets, ensuring accurate depreciation and reporting.
13. Assist in project cost allocation and reporting to support.
14. Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
15. Assist in financial statement preparation and conduct account reconciliations.
Your Profile:
16. Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
17. Bachelor’s degree and / or relevant professional qualification.
18. Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
19. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
20. Fluent in German and proficient in English
