You will be responsible for the full value generation in partnering from search & evaluation, partner engagement through leading the negotiation and transaction process. The key focus will be identifying, evaluating and negotiating partnerships that support our R&D and corporate strategy. The successful candidate will play an integral driving role shaping the external innovation with other biopharmaceutical companies and academia by supporting scouting, evaluation and negotiation of collaboration agreements. You will develop and manage new scientific and strategic partnerships, collaborations in line with the companies and portfolio strategy. Requirements For this position, we are looking for a highly motivated individual bringing along: Ph D or MS in biomedical sciences or MD strongly preferred, MBA is a plus Minimum 10 years of industry experience, minimum 7 years of experience in business development or related functions Experience in BD&L with manifested responsibility as Transaction Lead (focus on out-licensing)Track record of deal-making and a sound understanding of successful collaboration (deal sheet required)The ability to engage and guide a broad range of stakeholders, both scientific and business in orientation, internally and externally is essential The ability to communicate science in an engaging and inspiring way while framing up strategic and financial benefits of deals under evaluation High potential for travel (within US and to CH on a regular basis)Proven track record in strategic leadership in cross-functional teams Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with different stakeholders.
