In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement and processing of purchasing activities within the department. This includes sourcing materials, equipment, and services while serving as the main point of contact with suppliers. You will negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods in line with departmental budgets. The position entails overseeing the entire procurement process, from budget management and requirement identification to order processing, invoice handling, project close-outs, and work handovers. Close collaboration with project management, project controlling, and team leaders is essential to success in this position.

Responsibilities
General Procurement Activities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies for materials and services
* Identify procurement needs and create detailed specifications
* Evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
* Organize site visits and virtual meetings
* Prepare tender dossiers for submission
* Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers
* Assess received offers in line with procurement guidelines
* Award contracts to successful vendors and ensure compliance with procurement documentation
* Foster strong relationships with suppliers to maintain a reliable supply chain
* Process orders and manage approval workflows in procurement systems for timely approvals
Site Infrastructure
* Manage procurement of winter heating solutions
* Oversee procurement of security measures and systems
* Ensure winter services are executed during the relevant season
Facility Management
* Manage procurement and rental of containers for site use
* Order standard furnishings for office containers
* Oversee demobilization of facilities as needed
* Ensure accurate billing of services to relevant projects
Waste Management
* Coordinate proper waste disposal with local suppliers
* Monitor and manage scrap metal credits
* Compile and evaluate waste disposal statistics for ongoing projects
* Ensure accurate billing of waste management services to projects
Further Tasks and Responsibilities
* Prepare and submit construction, conversion, and power applications, ensuring compliance with local authorities
* Organize and maintain fire protection documentation in accordance with applicable laws, collaborating with internal and external experts
* Ensure accurate project accounting data transmission and serve as the main contact for queries related to open items or discrepancies, coordinating with relevant teams
* Oversee general contract management activities, including lease agreements and maintenance contracts, in collaboration with the legal department
* Manage order and project closure processes, including handovers and final documentation creation
* Utilize procurement and project management software tools effectively (e.g., Unifier, SAP, SAP Ariba, and Invoice Track)
Candidate Profile
* Education: BSc in Engineering or equivalent diploma
* Experience: 5+ years in procurement or related fields
* Technical Skills: Proficient in process management and improvement, time management, detail orientation, and client relationship building
* IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, SAP Ariba, Unifier, Invoice Track, DMS
* Strong IT skills
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Highly organized team player
* Well-connected, particularly with suppliers
* Language: Fluent in English (C1), German nice to have
