Job Description:
1. Database activities related to a UPL or EME change (e.g. code installation, etc.)
2. Performance analysis.
3. Oracle upgrades.
4. Oracle clones, restore, backups.
5. Use tools like Terraform or Ansible to define and provision infrastructure through code, enabling version control, repeatability, and automation.
6. Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate repetitive tasks, such as backups, updates, and security scans, reducing manual intervention and errors.
7. Use configuration management tools like Ansible to automate the deployment and management of system configurations across multiple servers and environments.
8. Work closely with software developers to ensure that infrastructure meets the needs of the application, providing support for development environments, and optimizing the deployment process.
9. Continuously analyze system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize the infrastructure for speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
10. Document processes, configurations, and infrastructure designs to ensure that knowledge is shared across the team and to facilitate onboarding and troubleshooting.
11. Respond to infrastructure-related incidents, diagnose the root cause of issues, and implement solutions to restore service as quickly as possible.
