Job Description
We invite an ERP Specialist with expertise in Supply Chain and Logistics to join our FAP-BC group and contribute to the operation of one of the world's most iconic scientific organizations.
This role will involve tackling complex IT challenges, collaborating with top-tier professionals, and directly impacting systems that support CERN's mission of advancing humanity's understanding of the universe.
The selected candidate will work at the intersection of business and technology, translating complex processes into efficient ERP solutions and ensuring seamless integration with various applications.
Responsibilities
* Implement, configure, integrate, test, and document new requirements within our ERPs (currently Infor LN for supply chain and logistics areas) and other related systems.
* Design components as requested by end-users, ensuring alignment with the ERP's technical architecture.
* Provide third-level user support & maintenance for those ERPs, covering designated business areas, ensuring business continuity.
* Collaborate with and coordinate near- and offshore teams for development and support.
* Lead the design and implementation of ERP projects, coordinating with several teams, reviewing technical solutions, and ensuring alignment among contributors.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience in Computer Science, Enterprise System Management, or a related field.
Experience:
* Design, implementation, maintenance, and support of business software.
* Commercial ERPs functional consultancy area with emphasis on Service, Engineering to Order, and Supply Chain and Logistics.
* Business process modelling.
* Commercial ERP systems in support and development.
Prioritised experience would be advantageous:
* Integrating an ERP with other commercial solutions or in-house developed applications.
* SUPPORTING AND DEVELOPING/PERSONALISING ERP SYSTEMS IN SOURCE-TO-PAY PROCESSES.
* Modern software engineering practices (agile).
* Procurement and Finance domains.
* Database design, SQL and query optimization.
Technical competencies:
* Application software development
* Testing, diagnosing and optimisation of software
* Customer service: technical advice and guidance; application support

Language skills:
Spoken and written English. Spoken and written French would be an advantage; otherwise, the willingness to acquire it is expected. We provide language courses to support this.

Employment Conditions
Contract type: Limited duration contract (5 years). Subject to certain conditions, holders of limited-duration contracts may apply for an indefinite position.
