We are seeking qualified and highly motivated Facility Management Team Lead to support its operations.
Your responsibilities
* Overseeing and maintaining critical systems
* Managing building infrastructure (HLKSE) in our research headquarters together with service providers
* Meeting infrastructural demands and searching for practical solutions for research groups and technical platforms
* Overseeing and optimizing external services on our premises
* Supporting inventory, basic supplies, logistics, waste management, parking, and post distribution
* Planning, managing, and implementing occasional projects related to events or setting up new laboratory space; representing FM expertise as subject matter expert in x-IOB projects.
* Supporting reporting and decision-making processes in budgeting, operations, energy consumption, and future infrastructure investments
* Team lead of the FM Team at IOB, acting as operational manager of the team and organizing, distributing, and aligning the tasks within the team
* Handling building accesses, including badge management for IOB internal employees and externals as well as visitor management and related agreements required.
* Lab equipment maintenance and logistics
Requirements
* Education (Abgeschlossene Handwerkliche Lehre) and at least 3 years of proven track record in facility management or Engineering degree having spent 3 years in the Engineering department of a larger organization, having worked on and led different projects, cost calculations, infrastructure, etc.
* Hands-on, action-oriented attitude
* Team player, service, detail and quality-oriented mindset, and problem-solving skills are necessary
* Experience in supporting life science and laboratory infrastructure or R&D operations is a strong plus
* Experience in managing a small team and services or experience in project management is a plus
* Good communication skills, professional working proficiency in English is a strong plus
