Banqueting, Meeting & Events Manager
The Banqueting, Meeting & Events Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the hotel's banqueting and event operations. This includes coordinating, planning, and executing events, ensuring high standards of service, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
This individual will lead a team of banquet staff, liaise with clients, and work closely with various hotel departments to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of banquets, conferences, weddings, and other large-scale events.
* Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and requirements.
* Prepare detailed event proposals, including food and beverage arrangements, layout, timing, and staffing.
* Ensure that event spaces are prepared according to client specifications, including seating arrangements, decor, and technical requirements.
* Supervise and manage banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and coordinators.
* Recruit, train, and motivate team members to provide exceptional service during events.
* Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct regular feedback sessions with staff.
* Act as the primary point of contact for event clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of event requirements.
* Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
* Deliver personalized service to exceed clients' expectations.
* Manage event budgets, ensuring events are delivered within allocated resources.
Requirements:
* Fluency in French; proficiency in English and German is an asset.
* At least 3-5 years of experience in event or banqueting management within the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of managing large events.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, staff, and hotel management.
* Able to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring flawless event execution.
* Strong planning and time management skills to handle complex event coordination.
* Understanding of food and beverage offerings and the ability to manage catering requirements effectively.
Reporting Structure:
This role will report into the Food & Beverage Manager and be part of the leadership of the hotel.
