Sales Manager – Beauty & Homecare Packaging (Germany & DACH)

We are currently assisting our client, a well-established global player in the packaging industry, in their search to hire an experienced Sales Manager in Germany. This is a field sales position with full responsibility for managing an existing customer base. The role reports to the Sales Director DACH. The position is home-based and covers mainly the mid and southern part of Germany with a small part of the additional markets in Austria and Switzerland.

Any location in Germany (home-office based), Preferred: Central / Southern Germany
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market presence in Germany and partly in Austria and Switzerland.
* Customer Visits & Meetings: Conduct full end-to-end client meetings, including technical consultations and deal negotiations.
* Look for new opportunities and areas of growth.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
* Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers, addressing their concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Budget Management: Oversee the regional sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives.
* Sales Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, and adjust strategies accordingly.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as R&D, Product Marketing, and Operations, to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future plans.
Candidate profile
* Proven experience in field sales (B2B), ideally in packaging or a related field.
* Sales-driven mentality – comfortable with both account management & new business development.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
* Ability to handle a portfolio of existing customers.
* Technical sales acumen – able to consult and advise customers on product applications.
* Ability to provide rapid customer response & service.
* Fluent in German and English.
* Passionate, driven, team-oriented, and motivated.
* Experience in homecare or beauty packaging is a plus.
* Strong travel commitment within Germany (2-3 days per week on the road).
* Experience in the Austrian and Swiss market is a nice to have.
