Job Description for Sourcing Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sourcing Manager to join our team in Rotkreuz, Switzerland.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and a passion for driving cost savings and improving processes.
Responsibilities
As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for executing direct procurement operations within a specific region or site, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-quality customer service.
You will also be responsible for:
* Executing support requests, applying continuous improvement methodologies where possible
* Leveraging category guidance documents and procurement knowledge to determine the best method for driving value
* Ensuring compliance with applicable policies, standards, and operating procedures
* Communicating the status, progress, and outcomes of procurement activities
* Maintaining strong information flows back to the Category Management teams
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* A university degree in business administration or a technical discipline
* At least 3 years of procurement experience with technical products
* Experience in basic contracting, business enterprise systems, and supplier management
* Fluency in English and German
* Knowledge of business enterprise tools and overall procurement processes/methodologies
Nice to Have
Procurement background within a product-oriented industry (e.g., manufacturing, medical devices, automotive, electronic)
Project management experience with relevant tools and methodologies
This is a temporary contract position for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
You will work from our office in Rotkreuz, with the possibility of working 2 days from home.
