You'll immerse yourself in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with our design team to conceptualize colors and finishes and their visuals on materials/surfaces that set trends and exceed market expectations. Your role will span the entire color process, from conception to production and assortment merchandising, ensuring our products stand out in a crowded market. Your Mission
* You will assist in ensuring the color commerciality of our range taking into consideration: trend, color merchandising strategies as well as color alignment across brand categories.
* You ground your perspective on upcoming color trends, palette assortment, and seasonal key colors by diving into data from selling, consumer, and the overall trend landscape.
* You collaborate very closely with our Zurich-based development team and our vendor development teams (as needed) on creating and handing over clear briefs and helping to improve the color process for production.
* You stay informed about the latest dyeing technologies possible on fabrics in the industry and always challenge our current dyeing standards in order to become more sustainable.
* You share your knowledge with the rest of the teams and exchange ideas and knowledge with the help of the digital and physical color + material library that you keep feeding.
Your Story
* You have completed a Bachelor or Master degree in Apparel Design and/or Color Sciences and/or 4+ years of working experience in the Apparel industry.
* Focus in active and lifestyle apparel, ideally in the Color and Materials Design.
* Possess a fluency of merchandising methodologies, strategies, and the analysis of selling data and the role that color plays within these.
* Has an understanding of color science processes as it relates to apparel materials, with a preference towards active and lifestyle apparel.
* Has direct experience working with as well as deep understanding of performance and lifestyle materials as it relates back to design usage and colorization limitations.
* Positive, solution-seeking mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced, undefined environments with experience in creating as well as upholding systems and processes on your team as well as cross-functionally.
* You are a strategic thinker with 3 years experience in supporting teams of 3 or more people.
* You possess fluency in Pantone and other color systems as well as design tools such as: Adobe Creative Suite, PLM as well as familiarity with selling data tools/analytics.
* Experience in sustainability as it relates to color creation and materials.
* You bring a great knowledge of competitor brands and have a deep understanding of distribution partners and channels.
* Fluent in English, written and spoken, any other language would be a plus.

You will be working with On's highly creative Colour & Material Design team, driven by innovation, performance, and sustainability. You will be rooted in our design team which includes CMD, Footwear/Apparel/Accessories Designers who all closely collaborate with our Developers, Product Managers, Innovation, and GTM teams.
