This is a permanent role based in Zug, Switzerland. As the Category Manager, you will play a key role in shaping category strategies for cosmetics, focusing on market research, product assortment, and trade marketing efforts. In this role, you will work closely with product managers to ensure your category aligns with market trends, consumer demand, and customer needs. Youll also collaborate with marketing teams to develop impactful POS marketing caigns to drive sales and brand visibility at retail locations. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute category strategies cosmetics, ensuring a diverse and compelling product assortment based on market insights and consumer demand. Conduct market research and analyse trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to guide category growth and product assortment decisions. Collaborate with product managers to align market research with product development efforts, ensuring products meet consumer needs. Work with the marketing team to create and implement trade marketing strategies and POS caigns that drive sales and visibility at retail locations. Partner with key customers to understand their marketing and sales objectives, tailoring POS caigns to their needs and ensuring strong, mutually beneficial relationships. Utilise digital tools and influencer marketing to enhance brand visibility and engagement within the assigned category. Provide ongoing insights to inform future product assortments, marketing strategies, and promotional activities. What are we looking for? At least 3 years of experience in category management, product management, or a related role within cosmetics, toys, or similar consumer goods sectors. Strong knowledge of market research methodologies and consumer insights, with the ability to translate findings into actionable category strategies. Experience in trade marketing, including the development and execution of POS caigns in cooperation with retail customers. Solid understanding of the toy or cosmetic industries, including emerging trends, consumer behaviours, and competitor activities. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with cross functional teams and external partners to deliver successful strategies. Competitive salary + benefits.
