Description
- Work closely with a senior contracting and business development specialist in the team, as well as the director of operations, a contracts officer and an administrator
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts (partnership agreements, suppliers agreements etc.)
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, donor requirements, and applicable legal frameworks
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across programs, finance, procurement, and legal to align contractual terms with operational needs
- Participate in training sessions that are regularly provided to the business units to improve contracting practices
- Maintain and organise contract records and templates
- Provide practical legal and contractual advice to project teams under supervision
Profile
- Master's degree in Law
- 3-5 years of professional experience in contract management
- Experience in commercial-level contract development in an international environment is an important consideration
- Solid understanding of contract law and drafting principles
- Basic understanding of licensing; knowledge of intellectual property (IP) is a strong plus
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus
