The Opportunity:

Lead a team of experts who support the design of pivotal trials and evidence packages, identify access evidence gaps, develop risk mitigation strategies, assess and communicate trade-off decisions.

Drive the internal readiness for the EU Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Regulation implementation and coordinate the submission of the EU HTA Joint Clinical Assessments (JCAs), EU HTA Joint Scientific Consultations (JSC), or early local HTA advice.

Contribute actively to the Global and EU HTA ecosystem by fostering an evidence-based approach to determining value and informing decision-making, including novel methodologies to support (EU) HTA outcomes.

Lead a cross-functional team (pod) to develop HTA strategies in partnership with external stakeholders (academia, HTA bodies, payers, industry associations).

Ensure the evidence package developed within Global Access continues to evolve to reflect HTA/payer requirements and stakeholder feedback (early consultations).

Ensure above-country HTA submissions are prepared punctually and delivered to a high quality, meeting (and exceeding) external requirements.

Promote a diverse and inclusive culture within the Evidence Leadership Team, ensuring the Evidence Chapter has the right people, capabilities, and attitude to drive collaboration, foster innovation, and impact patient access.

Collaborate with colleagues in Global Access, Global Pharma Strategy, Pharma Development, External Affairs International, and Diagnostics to develop evidence suitable for reimbursement bodies and support affiliates in their reimbursement application process.

Provide strategic and expert guidance, technical direction, and ensure methodological standards, enabling, leading, managing, and developing team members across the Evidence Chapter.

Align the team's resource allocation to product-specific and above-brand work packages, develop actionable development plans for team members, and ensure the team meets or exceeds goals aligned with overall plans.
Who You Are:
-
You have a master’s or doctoral-level degree in health economics, epidemiology, statistics, or a related field.
-
You have 15+ years of demonstrated ability in the pharmaceutical industry or the governmental sector, focusing on access, reimbursement, and commercialisation of health technologies, with specific expertise in Health Technology Assessment on a country, regional, and global level.

You have 10+ years of experience leading and managing global, regional, and local teams in a matrixed organisation, and in building capabilities and competencies of highly skilled teams, both indirectly and directly as a People Leader.

You bring strong, established relationships with key stakeholders involved in the HTA decision-making process, with a consistent track record of successful HTA advocacy projects.

You possess knowledge of different HTA systems and the EU HTA Regulation requirements, with experience with European agencies and stakeholders, such as EU HTA, being a strong advantage.
