Job/Position Summary
Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and acquiring prospective customers and new product introductions. The candidate is required to excel in building solid relationships, working the deal, and landing business with new customers. The position is activity driven; from calls, emails, and face-to-face visits.
The successful candidate will be a hunter who is passionate about identifying solutions for electromobility challenges and electrification. They will establish themselves in the technical community and flush out the opportunities that will drive CTS’s next stage of growth. A high level of persistence, creativity, and persuasiveness will be required to drive the organization towards its growth goals.
Primary Responsibilities
* Strategy
* Keep abreast of current and position sensing trends both current and on the horizon.
* Understand automotive and industrial customer technology roadmaps.
* Bring voice of customer to CTS product strategy development.
* Provide market intelligence from competitive and customer needs perspective to aid in CTS strategic product strategies.
* Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
* Technical
* Gain a deep understanding of CTS product offerings.
* Develop system level knowledge and understand how CTS components fit.
* Support product roadmap implementation and market penetration.
* Sales
* Identify and engage key customer influencers. Develop and maintain strategic relationships at various levels within the organization.
* Build relationships and work towards early design-in of CTS products.
* Continuously develop and work sales funnel.
* Implements sales strategy for increasing sales and profits.
* Lead and drive product introductions to market and key marketing activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Complete understanding of CTS products and technologies.
* Strong negotiations & sales abilities.
* Must be able to make sound decisions based on objective data gathering consistent with CTS goals and objectives.
* Must be a self-starter and results oriented.
* Must have good time-management and planning skills.
* Proficient in both written and oral communication in English. Additional language skills would be an advantage.
* Must project a positive image that is well-respected, both internally and externally. Must be skilled in giving presentations.
* Must be able to lead individuals and teams in the organization to meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner.
* Travel to the customer is expected.
* Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)

Required Education and Experience
* Technical bachelor’s degree.
* 7-10 years of automotive or sensing industry experience.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business development or sales account role.
* Experience in sensors or electro-mechanical products preferred.
Physical Demands
* Ability to travel (domestic and international) as needed.
Working Environment
* Standard office environment, home office as agreed with line manager.
