Construction Foreman
The Construction Foreman takes a hands-on leadership role on the job site, ensuring prompt and efficient progress of work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate heavy equipment such as track hoes and backhoes, with experience in installing sheet piling being a plus.
* Manage and oversee projects, including piping installation, tank setup, and associated materials.
* Communicate project requirements to the Installation Manager to ensure safety, efficiency, and profitability.
* Maintain effective communication with customers or their onsite representatives regarding project needs or issues.
* Interpret and apply plans, specifications, environmental regulations, and relevant fire and building codes.
* Participate in required meetings, including Pre-Construction and Safety Meetings, and additional training sessions as directed.
* Maintain detailed daily records of tests, inspections, project progress, visitors, and factors affecting the project schedule.
* Set a positive example for the crew by adhering to work schedules and uniform standards.
* Supervise daily crew activities and plan for upcoming tasks.
* Provide opportunities for crew members to develop skills and assume greater responsibilities.
* Enforce safety protocols, address potential hazards, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
* Uphold a professional company image by maintaining appearance, keeping vehicles and job sites clean and orderly, and ensuring courteous conduct from all crew members.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in piping and related products is necessary.
* Valid driver's license with the ability to operate a construction truck and tow small trailers as needed.
* Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record check.
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
* Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly; frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8-10 hours daily.
* Willingness to work in varied weather conditions and travel up to 50-60% of the time.
* Availability for after-hours work as needed.
