I am seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manage r to lead operations at my clients Exclusive members-only club.
This role demands a mature, hands-on professional with exceptional business acumen, deep wine expertise, and a proven ability to cater to VIP clientele.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in French and English, with a strong understanding of the local community and its culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Maintain the highest standards of service quality, ambiance, and member satisfaction.
Act as the "face" of the club, engaging personally with members and VIP guests to ensure their needs are met.
VIP Guest Management
Deliver personalized experiences for VIP members by understanding their preferences and anticipating their needs.
Train staff on discretion, professionalism, and courtesy to ensure extraordinary hospitality for high-profile guests.
Handle complaints or concerns with empathy and efficiency to maintain member loyalty.
Business & Financial Acumen
Develop and execute budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement strategies to achieve profitability goals.
Analyze sales trends and operational costs to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote membership programs and dining experiences.
Team Management
Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team that embodies the club’s values.
Foster a positive work environment through clear communication, constructive feedback, and team-building initiatives.
Set clear expectations for staff performance and ensure adherence to health, safety, and service standards.
Wine Expertise
Curate an exceptional wine list that complements the menu while appealing to discerning palates.
Educate staff on wine pairings and tasting notes to enhance the dining experience for members.
Host wine tastings or exclusive events that showcase the club’s commitment to excellence.
Community Engagement
Build strong relationships within the local community.
Represent the club as a key figure in fostering connections with local businesses and cultural organizations.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
Proven experience as a General Manager in high-end restaurants or private clubs.
Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
In-depth knowledge of fine wines, food pairings, and luxury dining experiences.
Hands-on leadership style with excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong financial management abilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
Preferred:
Familiarity with the local community's culture, trends, and preferences.
Experience managing VIP clientele in hospitality settings.
Certification in wine studies (e.g., WSET Level 2 or higher) is a plus.
