Junior Banker - Account Closures - 3 Month Contract

Overview of the position:
For our client, a large bank in Geneva, we are looking for a Junior Banker to provide excellent client service in driving the closing process and manage the day-to-day administrative needs to ensure timely execution within all appropriate risk and controls of the closing transactions.
Position Type: Contract
Duration: 3 Months (Extension Possibility TBC)
Start Date: 28th April
Remote Working: On-site preferred
Main responsibilities:
* Execution of the relationship termination with a key focus on handling client communications
* Carefully review transfer requests and evaluate risk factors and mitigating elements
* Ensures timely execution and tracking of pending items till final account closure
* Ability to adapt to the specificities of all the market regions catered by the EMEA platform
* Ensures ongoing communication with client and other parties as necessary during the closing process
* Executes controls as regard to KYC PR, exemptions, accounts blocking, etc, IOS and AML related issues
* Ensures all conditions for transfer are met; monitors actively all post-closing items
* Escalate issues appropriately and resolves issues affecting client service and risk management
* Process all client related transactions in a professional and timely manner related to closing instructions
* Ensure Trade execution and all other types of transactions are done across banks internal systems
* Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in line with the policies
* Flag potential illegal or improper transactions and comply with all regulatory policies and control procedures
* Respond to all requests promptly and effectively
* Identification of client complaints and ownership until closure
* Come-up with suggestions of process improvements to simplify the closing process
* Serve as a valued resource to the team by sharing knowledge, best practices and promote initiatives
Your expertise:
* Master or bachelor degree in banking & finance
* Proven experience in a client service support function, within the Banking industry essential
* Robust knowledge and understanding of corporate documentation as well as KYC and regulatory requirements an advantage.
* Fluency in spoken and written English, other languages
