At Adaptyv, our high-throughput cloud lab enables protein designers to experimentally validate their proteins with the click of a button. We're building advanced molecular biology workflows, assay automation and software infrastructure to make it easy for our users to engineer better proteins. Since the launch of our beta access in June 2024 we've been growing rapidly and are now working with the fastest-moving protein design teams in the world, across tech bio startups, major AI companies and the biggest pharmas.
About The Role
We’re looking for a Visual Designer to help shape Adaptyv's brand and communicate it to the world. This is the perfect role for someone who’s creative, self-driven, and loves distilling complex ideas into clean, striking visuals.
What You’ll Do
1. Build and evolve our brand assets, making sure everything looks sharp and consistent across all communication channels and products.
2. Design visual content for our blog, X, LinkedIn, website, and whatever platform makes sense next.
3. Create visual interpretations of biology concepts — making molecular processes, protein design, and complex data instantly understandable.
4. Turn raw data into clear, beautiful visuals that make intricate systems digestible.
5. Add some basic motion design when needed to communicate biological processes.
What We’re Looking For
1. Proven track record of tasteful visual design — please share examples of your portfolio. This could be illustrations, banners, social media posts, data visuals, or anything else that shows off your style.
2. Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Illustrator — if you're also familiar with Blender, Cinema4D, or other 3D tools, even better.
3. Aesthetic sense that aligns with modern developer brands (think Linear, Vercel, and similar clean, minimal styles).
Nice-to-Have Bonuses
1. Some familiarity with web development (React, front-end design, etc.).
2. Experience using Midjourney and other AI design tools.
3. A background or strong curiosity in biology, protein design, or synthetic biology — or just a passion for designing for scientific innovation.
