As an API Developer, you are responsible for the successful development of several microservices/API on our Decoupling Layer. This APIs provides shared services for the new Frontend Web-Apps within the RM and Client platform. In this varied and responsible role, you will further develop the digital backbone. Your specific duties include:
* Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
* Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
* Align and shape product specific standards within the group wide Java guide
* Develop and manage well-functioning APIs, following a microservices architecture
* Build reusable components for future use including software tests
* Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
* Resolving technical problems as they arise
* Support other development teams regarding questions on designing and building APIs
* Support agile teams in terms of API (DevSecOps) on the container platform
You will be working in product oriented agile delivery teams with key stakeholders in APAC and EMEA. Your line team is mainly located in Bendern, Liechtenstein. Your workplace is Bendern or Zurich.
Your profile
* Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
* An excerpt from our technology and tool landscape: Java, Angular, Kubernetes (OpenShift), Kafka, Jira, Gitlab, Springboot, Azure Dev Cloud
* Familiarity with common stacks and agile methodology
* Good understanding of Design Patterns used in Java and Microservices Architectures
* Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache), container technology (Kubernetes or OpenShift) and DevOps platforms (GitLab)
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Great attention to detail, solution-driven, and analytical mindset
