Our Mission
We, the Digital Biomarker (dBM) Global Area in Roche Information Solutions, are an integrated team of scientists, technologists, data analysts, and operationalization experts. We leverage mobile technologies like smartphones and wearables to collect objective and continuous sensor data from patients in clinical trials.
Your Impact
* As the Digital Biomarkers Algorithm R&D Manager, you will be the scientific product owner of our library of signal processing algorithms to extract meaningful features from raw sensor data.
* You will oversee and develop novel algorithms, improving existing ones, and develop strategies for validation of algorithms and devices.
* Co-develop the roadmap for library maintenance and extension with the technical product owner of the library.
* Support the lifecycle of algorithm development from early research to computer system validated algorithms.
* Work together with the dBM scientific solutions lead and the dBM data solutions lead to support the development of novel data insights products.
* Support UI/UX design to ensure meaningful data collection.
* Scientifically support customer interactions by providing data analysis support and developing material for sales collateral.
* Lead activities in matrix teams and be the main interface to other internal and external digital biomarker algorithm development teams.
* Drive understanding of data analysis results through compelling narratives and presentations.
Requirements
* Very good university degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, natural science, or informatics.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience with signal processing of data collected with digital health technologies.
* Understanding of the V3 framework and similar approaches.
* Track record of algorithm validation.
* ML/AI experience.
* Experience working in a goal-oriented manner with the customer in mind.
* Strong experience analyzing and visualizing large data sets.
* Experience working collaboratively within a large team and managing time against competing demands.
* Track record of writing compelling publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
* Profound knowledge in Python (optional: R or similar software packages/languages).
