Head Waiter Position
We are seeking a graduate of a hotel school or holder of a CFC in Hospitality with confirmed experience in luxury hospitality and/or a starred restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent presentation skills, a sense of welcome, and personalized service. Fluency in English and German, along with comfort interacting with international clients, is also required.
Contract Details: Permanent or seasonal position to be discussed, starting date: April 2025
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as an ambassador for the Hotel and its F&B departments, including the gourmet Restaurant Chez Meyer's, Jack's Brasserie, the Sushi bar, banquets, breakfast, and room service.
* Comfortable with various types of service: à la carte, banquet, gueridon service, buffet, and others.
* Achieve sales targets through upselling and other strategies.
* Supervise interns or temporary staff.
* Ensure the smooth running of the dining service, from taking orders to customer departure.
* Set up and dress the restaurant according to Relais & Chateau standards.
* Manage cash operations.
* Familiarize yourself with restaurant quality procedures.
* Demonstrate knowledge of food and wine pairings.
* Assist other departments when needed.
Requirements:
* Holder of a qualification (CFC or equivalent) and at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
* Language skills: German, French, or English.
* Ability to work in a team and collaborate with other hotel departments.
