The opportunity
Join us as a Risk Manager and support our project execution within the Business Unit High Voltage. With analytical, hands-on and autonomous approach, you contribute to the successful performance of Risk Management. You are a reliable partner when it comes to the review of projects, risk assessment, analysis of contracts, contract administration and project execution.

How you’ll make an impact
* Collaborate with the tendering team in Europe ensuring that all the risks have been identified, assessed, and mitigated.
* Monitor the portfolio transition from SF6 to EconiQ ensuring that all risks and related mitigation actions have been taken into account.
* Monitor and collaborate with tendering teams and operating units to ensure proper implementation of F-Gas regulation.
* Collaborate with Business Unit (BU) Risk Manager in improving HBU risk review process for Europe as a pilot replicable in other Hubs, interacting with Hub Sales Operations and Hub Management to coordinate approval processes.
* Verify the correct application of FCM/NM approval process at HUB level and ensure any deviation on NM and provision is escalated at the correct approval level based on HUB/BU instructions.
* Establish a proper planning for the review and approval of the tenders in the pipeline to improve data quality and approval on time.
* Participate in project reviews, monitoring KPIs and transferring lessons learned from project execution within HUB/Region to new tenders.
* Educate and provide training on Risk Management and collaborate with other HUB Risk Managers.
* Work on offshore Cookbook for HV, in collaboration with BU Risk Manager, Contract Management, and Renewable Business Developer.
* Prepare and conduct risks and opportunities analysis/presentations, preparation of strategy papers, definition of overall project claim strategies.
* Conduct contract and claims negotiations and settlements together with project management.
* Provide general advice and pro-active support to project management, site management, procurement/supply department, and other project team members in the execution of Customer Contracts, Consortium Agreements, Subcontracts/Supply contracts to secure Hitachi Energy’s contractual rights and entitlements.
Your background
* Degree in law, business administration, or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in Contract Management functions and processes in project execution of EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants.
* Contract management, Project Management, or Sales Support background.
* Knowledge about internal Risk Review regulations.
* Contract Managers with Site Contract Management experience of more than 3 years will be preferred.
* Experience in working within internationally staffed teams and with international contractual partners.
* Solid experience in change management, claim management, and contract-related legal issues and the potential effects in the relevant areas of responsibility regarding proposal stage and/or project execution.
* Behavior and dealing with foreign cultures (Ethical Conduct).
* Systematic and structured work style.
* Ability to negotiate in English and German. Any other language is an advantage.
