Responsibilities Supports the company’s R&D controlling function in the decision-making process by running SAP/CO and SAP/FI financial allocated processes and by preparing meaningful analyses and overviews of the financial.
Performs month-end closing activities (including preparation of required journal entries and reviewing accounts for discrepancies with Group accounting team and other business partners).
Responsible for preparing a consolidated view of actual financial figures along with business insights into the monthly actual performance and explains differences compared to market or budget to internal and external stakeholders.
Supports Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting activities related to R&D.
Undertakes variance analysis and explains complex situations/results.
Provides guidance and acts as a support business partner to both financial and non-financial business partners.
Maintain the accounting records for assigned business units and preparing supporting documents required in understanding and analyzing the financial statements.
Supports the design and implementation of overall finance transformation initiatives.
Supports the business controlling team members in analyzing different business situations.
Responds to ad-hoc technical requests raised within the finance community.
Supports R&D controlling projects (e.g. implementation of BI-Tools).
Ad-hoc analysis and support for decision-making processes for R&D management.
Qualifications Bachelors in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent, with specialization in finance and/or a further education in the area of controlling.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in controlling.
Experience with reporting to top management.
Good understanding of finance and controlling processes.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Strong skills in Excel (intermediate level minimum) and Power Point.
IFRS accounting knowledge would be an advantage.
Fluent in English, German (basic knowledge) is a plus.
