Responsibilities: Design parts or assemblies in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards
Modelling or modifying 3D parts or assemblies
Drawing up and interpreting plans, drawings and technical specifications, prepared using traditional or computer-assisted design (CAD) methods, for various parts or assemblies
Produce technical drawings of parts or assemblies used in production
Correcting and incorporating changes to technical drawings
Standardising 3D models and drawings in accordance with customer and industry standards
Analysing change requests
Research technical specifications on the Internet, when not supplied by the customer
Production support
Problem-solving
Act as technical support - May be required to train or assist in the training of new employees
May be called upon to carry out research and development
Drafting quality procedures
Drawing up quality plans
Technical coaching of designers
Technical customer interface
Assisting with quotations
Assisting with workload planning
Check assembly specifications
Carry out any other related tasks associated with this type of job.
Understand the requirements of AS 9100 standards related to the responsibilities of this position. Comply with the company's QMS procedures and apply the tools when carrying out tasks.
Desired Profile:
You have a degree in aircraft construction or mechanical engineering
You have at least 5 years of experience
You have a good knowledge of design
You have a good command of design software (CATIA V5)
You have a good command of its tools: Autocad, Smarteam, Enovia, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
You have a sense of responsibility
You know how to manage priorities
You like working in a team
You are adaptable
You are an effective communicator
You have a functional level of English and German
You shall be available to come to Montreal
