The postdoctoral candidate will independently design and perform in vitro experiments with murine and human samples and also in vivo experiments to investigate the role of skin resident memory T cells in inflammatory skin diseases.
About the Role
Major accountabilities:
1. Independently design and execute in vitro experiments using both murine and human immune cells from skin
2. Independently perform murine in vivo experiments in mechanistic mouse models
3. Generate multi-omics (e.g. protein, sequencing) data sets on cells from skin tissue (murine and human)
4. Analyse multi-omics data sets and continuously evolve analysis skills.
5. Conduct innovative, interdisciplinary translational research to publish results in leading journals
Minimum Qualifications:
* PhD in immunology or cellular biology (PhD students in the last year of their thesis work are eligible to apply)
* Strong publication record in the area of immunology and/or resident memory T cells
* Excellent analytical, communication, presentation and organizational skills
* Candidates must be able to work independently as well as with interdisciplinary teams
* Experience and knowledge in the field of tissue resident memory T cells, T cell fate and T cell exhaustion
Skills:
* Strong expertise in flow cytometry, murine and human immune cell isolation and manipulation (culture, stimulation, analysis)
* Experience with murine and/or human skin, as well as basic molecular biology techniques
* First experience and computational skills (e.g. R, Python, analysis of big data) to analyze own data sets
