Job Description lastminute.com is looking for a Data Lead (Marketing) within its Data & Analytics department who can drive our Marketing & Media data domain team currently composed of 2 data engineers and 3 data analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively define and review an overarching marketing analytics strategy aligned with our company business goals identifying areas for optimization and experimentation that can drive incremental gains in our marketing effectiveness and efficiency.
Oversee the collection, integration, and management of our marketing data from various sources including digital marketing platforms, website analytics, and third-party data providers ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by implementing data quality control measures and data validation processes.
Supervise the development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key marketing metrics, performance trends, and insights to our marketing stakeholders.
Lead the analysis of marketing data to uncover insights, trends, and patterns that drive actionable recommendations for optimizing our marketing strategies.
Partner with our marketing and media teams to identify and monitor marketing key performance indicators ensuring effectiveness and constant optimization of our marketing and media campaigns.
Collaborate closely with other data domain teams (Marketplace, Customer, Sales & Partnership, Finance) to ensure alignment and coherence of overall data initiatives following the guidance of our Data Governance team.
Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in marketing analytics, data science, and technology to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications Skills and Experience
You have demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of data analysts and data engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
Proactive analytic mindset able to drive data teams to transform raw and unstructured data into valuable actionable marketing insights.
Knowledge of main data engineering concepts and experience working with data pipelines and data warehousing & cloud solutions.
Experience with marketing analytics platforms and proficiency in extracting insights from web analytics data to fuel our marketing strategies.
Proficiency in understanding, leveraging, implementing, and measuring Marketing Technology stacks needed for digital marketing (MarTech).
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically to address complex data challenges and drive innovative solutions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders, including marketing teams, executives, and cross-functional partners.
Adapting to changing priorities, technologies, and business requirements in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Fluent in English language to be able to efficiently communicate with both international team members and stakeholders.
Expertise in Paid Search advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Google Search Ads 360, Facebook Ads, and other relevant platforms.
Comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics 4 and related big query data models.
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniques for customer segmentation, churn prediction, and propensity modeling.
Understanding of marketing tag management best practices, data layer implementation, and related troubleshooting techniques to ensure data accuracy and integrity across digital properties.
