Your role
Do you have a mind that is both analytical and creative? Are you looking for an agile working and UX-driven environment where you will be able to implement your conversion optimization and experimentation skills to deliver the best online experience to users? You understand user and business needs, identify areas of improvement along the user journey, and use data-driven insights to optimize user experience (UX) to increase conversion rates in close alignment with business stakeholders and product managers. The role is based in Zurich, Switzerland, while working agile in a hybrid model at UBS offices or from home – as long as you’re in Switzerland.
We are looking for a passionate Conversion Optimization Specialist to:
1. Understand user needs and obtain a deeper understanding of their decision-making process by making use of qualitative and quantitative research data.
2. Continuously audit user journeys or specific touchpoints to ensure they fulfill the user’s needs and analyze their conversion performance with web-analytics tools to identify areas of improvement or untapped potentials.
3. Develop hypotheses based on data and insights aiming at creating conversion-optimized experiences with a strong focus on generating prospect engagement, leads, online account opening, newsletter subscriptions, etc.
4. Derive best practice wireframes or optimization measures from your hypotheses and transfer them into testable online experiences.
5. Design, build, and execute A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other testing approaches and continually monitor their performance.
6. Ensure relevancy of content and orchestrated user experiences by developing and implementing data-driven multichannel personalization.
7. Lead continuous improvement and implementation of optimized web experiences and report on success or failure.
8. Build strong relationships and closely collaborate with all chapters within the Experience Design Center of Excellence as well as our main stakeholders such as marketing, publishing, IT, and external agencies.
9. Be an ambassador for experimentation excellence and a subject matter expert in your field as part of our agile squad covering a range of various skills.
Your expertise
1. A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Digital Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, Economics, Statistics, Information Science, UX Design, etc.) is preferred.
2. Minimum 2 years of work experience in web optimization, website testing, and/or UX-focused role.
3. Understanding of customers' needs in the financial sector is an advantage.
4. Proficient in web analytics, ideally experience with Adobe Analytics.
5. Strong analytical skills and experience in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Medallia (Decibel Insight), Searchmetrics, or similar tools) to gain meaningful and actionable insights.
6. Strong knowledge of A/B testing tools (e.g., Adobe Target, Optimizely, Google Optimize, or similar tools).
7. Experience in data-driven personalization, ideally using the tools of the Adobe Experience Suite.
8. Understanding of UX/UI design concepts.
9. Data Visualization and Presentation Skills: Proficiency in creating reports and visualizing data using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Strong presentation skills to synthesize and present the most important information clearly and concisely to stakeholders.
10. Understanding Behavioral Patterns: In-depth knowledge of consumer psychology and behavioral patterns. Ability to identify and leverage effective triggers to encourage conversions.
11. Ability to cope with a dynamic and changing environment in an agile setup.
12. Excellent English skills in speaking and writing are a must.
13. Self-motivated and willingness to learn and constantly expand knowledge and skills.
14. Solid communication and presentation skills.
15. Knowledge of Data Science, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a bonus.
