What you will do
The Director, Global Category Hygiene Materials will play a pivotal role in the understanding of business strategies and development of global category strategies aimed to deliver year on year value, innovation sustainability. You will be collaborating with R&D and Brand Development within the existing Innovation procurement structure to optimize external innovation and unlock value and efficiency throughout the product development process. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with ability to manage global teams in remote locations, oversee the development of sound sourcing strategies, leverage supplier capabilities, assets and expertise, linking with Kenvue business needs and matching with market capabilities. This is a people leader position supporting buyers who manage approx. 0.6 Bn Spend (50% directly and 50% indirectly), support global NPD projects deliver against sustainability targets, and increase resilience in our product portfolio working closely with quality and R&D functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to Procurement teams to develop strategies that will take Kenvue to the next level of competitiveness at par with best-in-class industry players.
* Develop and manage key supplier relationships to maximize value creation, reduce overall total costs, enhance product performance, ensure supply security, and improve supplier performance.
* Work in close collaboration with global R&D, supply chain value stream leaders, quality functions managing performance in joint supplier relationship management (SRM).
* Develop forward-looking sourcing strategies that include clear recommendations from core suppliers and potential new challengers (new technologies, IP etc.) to meet Kenvue’s present and future needs.
* Attract, equip, develop, and coach a dedicated team focused on category management verticals as well as collaborating closely with regional procurement execution.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, PPM, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure a seamless execution of the innovation pipeline go to market strategies.
* Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on strategic supplier engagement and procurement sourcing strategies.
* Cultivate a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
* Drive and enable balanced packaging and hygiene performance for EMEA regions.
* Manage 9 direct reports and 6 indirect reports, coaching on ongoing operational tasks and sourcing strategies execution.
* Mobilize and orchestrate category resources in/outside region to serve business priorities and programs.
* Translate and implement category strategies and significant programs in EMEA region.
* Engage, partner, and interact with suppliers, internal technical and functional partners, project managers, and finance.

* 8+ years of experience in direct materials Procurement in fast-moving consumer goods industry (ideally with hygiene and packaging prior experience).
* Proven experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure cost control and process improvements.
* Strategic Thinking: Capacity to think strategically, anticipate market trends, and develop long-term plans to drive business success.
* Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, set clear direction, and lead teams by example.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Broad understanding of Supply Chain Management.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment.
* A mindset for innovation and drive efficiency.
* Strong business acumen to direct well-defined processes.
* Procurement and Sourcing Expertise: In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, contract negotiation, supplier management, value creation, and cost optimization strategies.
* Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong personal ownership to supply chain performance.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
* Risk Management: Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
